This Grilled Lamb Salad with Tzatziki is a fabulous fusion of smoky grilled lamb, refreshing salad, and zingy tzatziki. Perfect for those backyard BBQs or when you just feel fancy.
- Cooking Method: Grilling
- Prep Time: 25 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Cuisine Type: Mediterranean
Ingredients
- 500g lamb chops
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 200g cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 100g feta cheese, crumbled
- 50g black olives, pitted and halved
- 2 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1 tbsp fresh mint, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high. Trust me, this is non-negotiable.
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub this aromatic potion all over the lamb chops.
- Grill the chops for 4-5 minutes on each side. They should be slightly pink in the center. If they scream, you did it wrong.
- While the lamb is grilling, prepare the salad: Toss cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese, black olives, and mixed salad greens in a large bowl. Try not to sneak in too many olives.
- For the tzatziki: In another bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, mint, cucumber, salt, and pepper. Mix till it all gets along.
- Once the lamb is done, let it rest for 5 minutes. Engage in a staring contest with the salad.
- Slice the lamb into thin strips and toss with the salad. Dollop tzatziki on top, or serve it on the side. Your choice. I won’t judge.

- Cooking Tips: Always preheat your grill. Trust me, cold grills are a disaster.
