Ingredients
- 1/2 cup sushi rice
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Sriracha
- 1/3 cup imitation crab meat, shredded
- 1 tablespoon furikake
- 1/2 avocado, sliced
- 1 sheet nori, cut into squares
- Soy sauce, for serving
Cooking Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse 1/2 cup of sushi rice until the water runs clear. Then, cook it with 3/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir this into the cooked rice and set aside.
- Mix 1/4 cup mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon Sriracha in a small bowl.
- In an oven-safe dish, spread the rice evenly across the bottom.
- Top the rice with 1/3 cup shredded imitation crab meat.
- Spread the spicy mayonnaise mixture over the crab meat.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon furikake over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, until the top turns slightly golden.
- Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then top with 1/2 sliced avocado.
