Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sushi rice
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha
  • 1/3 cup imitation crab meat, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon furikake
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced
  • 1 sheet nori, cut into squares
  • Soy sauce, for serving

Cooking Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse 1/2 cup of sushi rice until the water runs clear. Then, cook it with 3/4 cup water in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1/2 tablespoon sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Stir this into the cooked rice and set aside.
  4. Mix 1/4 cup mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon Sriracha in a small bowl.
  5. In an oven-safe dish, spread the rice evenly across the bottom.
  6. Top the rice with 1/3 cup shredded imitation crab meat.
  7. Spread the spicy mayonnaise mixture over the crab meat.
  8. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon furikake over the top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, until the top turns slightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven, let it cool for a minute, then top with 1/2 sliced avocado.
  11. Serve with cut nori squares and soy sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
